Bad gold earrings

I purchased a set of earrings from JTV.com/jewelry tv. These were marketed as 14KT Gold. Well, I used them for around 8 hours yesterday so when I got them off my head openings were dark! What type of Platinum becomes you dark? I've so much jewelry all-gold and never one-piece has actually done this. Can not look for a 14KT marking. This really is bogus promotion! This type of person hard-up to get a $. I'm peeved, I paid $100.00 for these earrings, so that as usually, they declare these could be 3 to 5'xs higher in a store! Duh! They lie cheat and grab. Don't store at jtv.com, jewelry tv, you'll get scammed...
