Unauthorized charges

I ordered a free supply of POMclear and was charged $4.95 for shipping. My order was received with the POMclear and two items which were not ordered for a total of $44.85. I read all statements clearly and when I gave my charge account number it was $4.95 total and no other fees. How dare this company add on "stuff" not asked for nor signed for! Is it illegal to change an order amount after a purchase other than if the item ordered is not available?
