Don't Buy Gift Cards - Gift Card

Think before you purchase a gift card for someone. Be 100% positive that they enjoy buying high end, high priced beauty items, because once you purchase a “Gift Card” for someone, you can not change your mind and get a refund for it, even though it is unused, and unwanted. I know, I tried to get a refund for a gift card I received for Christmas. Went to Ulta Beauty of Gaylord, MI with unused gift card, and receipt of purchase. They refused to refund the cash or credit the purchase back to the method of payment. I then tried emailing the company via the website, and received an automated response stating they would respond within 24 hours. After 48 hours, I responded to their customer service email, and found that they had “BLOCKED” my email address. I’ve tried calling, but all you get is “your call can not be transferred at this time, please call back at another time”. They are holding my money for ransom, and trying to force me to buy at least $50.00 in products that I don’t want. I have used the same line of beauty care products for 42 years and don’t intend on changing brands now. Besides, they don’t carry my choice of beauty care products. How do you deal with a company that REFUSES to talk with you?
