I had an interview with a manager that told me -AFTER she said I got the job - that my tattoos had to be covered because their salon is family oriented and tattoos are not. My tattoos are devotions to my FAMILY. They are not offensive, are professionally done, and tasteful. I served in the military prior to this interview; you can serve your country with art on your body, but not CUT HAIR?! Cosmetology, to me, is a profession of art and expression-but I have to limit myself and how I look while "showing off my art." HARD PASS
