Who in their mind shop at Petco?

I am a long time Petco customer who wanted to buy some Greenies Joint chews for my dog. I went to Petco.com and the large bag of these chews were advertised for $29.99 online and in the stores. I went to my ocal Petco store in Gig Harbor, WA and they were $39.99. I asked if they would respect the online price of $10 less and was told that they do not. I couldn't believe it so i went to Petsmart and found the same bag of chews for $24.99. Many of the prices in this store are extremely higher than Target next door and Petsmart 15 minutes away. So, why would anyone shop and get ripped off at Petco when they can go to Petsmart and be treated as a valued customer with honest and competitive prices.
