Gift card activation - gift card

I purchased a gift card on line for my son who lives in another state. I was e-mailed the order # and password. When I tried to activate the card, Iwas told the numbers do not match. After several attempts, and sending three e-mails for help, they just keep sending me the same numbers and original instructions.
