Cash - service

I shop almost exclusively at Kohls. Every now and then, I receive "Kohls Cash at checkout, usually a $10 coupon you can use w/future purchase. It's definitely a draw to pull you back in. On 3/24/10, I gave it to the cashier w/my credit card toward the purchase. She flatly denied it saying it had expired. It was from February. I asked if I could still use it; she called the manager on the phone who blatantly said NO. Didn't even come out of the office to say it diplomatically. I like Kohls and spend alot of money there. If they're compensating customers with "cash, " why put an expiration date on it. We'll come back; why do we have to come back within a certain amount of time. For a store that recently opened up (in Tustin), they lack diplomacy. I may go back to Penny's. Thank You for reading this.
