Joan Talmadge is the owner of a small vacation web-sight. We are property owners paying her to advertise our vacation home on her site. Joan boasts about her review process and how it keeps rental property owners honest and on their toes.

When a review comes into a property listing Joan is the one who reviews and posts it. She edits every one. She states in her guidellines that no review will be posted that involves security deposit issues or breach of lease agreement.

We had 2 complaints for the fiscal year of both dealing with tenants who breached thier lease agreements and damaged property.in Joan's own terms and conditions she states that she does not post reviews of this nature, but she clearly brakes her own rules.

When we responded to the complaints concerning security deposit returns Joan edited our response! Why would you even have a review process and advertise that feature if none of it is accurate!!!

Remember Joan solicited us to advertise our home, took our money and then slandared our business on our own dime! We had to provide Joan, the ADVERTISING company will all the receipts for the repairs and all communications with our own customers to defend ourselves against these inflamatory false reviews... But she still posted them. And who knows how it was edited because my response was not accurate at all.

Most of by business associates have moved their advertising needs to HomeAway. We will be doing the same shortly. Joan's business generated 17 thousand ($17,000) dollars in a fiscal year. HomeAway generated 735 thousand dollars ($735,000) dollars in a fiscal year. I guess at this point I do not have to question why.
