Newport Coast Villas will not give you Marriott Credit for the time you stay

We purchase 6 nights at this vacation club through a timeshare presentation. The salesman knew we were interested in accumulating more stays toward our silver status for Marriott rewards and failed to inform us that this would not qualify. I could stay anywhere for the amount we paid, and with better accomodations.
