VIP Travel Reservations INC
Free Cruise and Airline ticket scam

Traveling & Tourism

My boyfriend and I were convinced to go to a travel seminar by offering us a free cruise and two free airlinne tickets. We have attended similar seminars before and have actually received such "gifts". Ussually, there is some paper work and some taxes but in the end we get our "free" gift just by paying a small taxes fee.

After attending this seminar we were given vouchers for both the cruise and airline tickets. I read all the instructions and sent in the paper along with a $174 deposit that would go towards any taxes and to show I was serious about taking the trip. Over the year we went back and forth filling out tons of paperwork. They kept telling us that they could not book any of our requested dates so we would have to put new requests. After a year of not getting any of our requested dates (by the way we are self employed and can travel at ANY time), then they told us that our voucher had expired. I asked for our deposit back. After several calls and letters and a couple months we finally got a deposit back. However, they had kept $20. I called and asked where the other $20 was. The lady was extremely rude which most of them are there (there were only a couple nice ones out of all my calls to them) and she told me that the $20 was for all there "hard work". All the paperwork and trouble I went thru for absolutely nothing and for them to steal $20.

Free cruise and airfare was offered but when they sent us our travel arrangements the cruise was not free, and it did in fact cost more than the cruise cost listed on the cruise line web site. I on't
