About one month ago I got a call from Capital Vacations. It didnt help that they caught me half asleep and they talked fast on what I am now guessing are the parts most people wont agree to. The parts that the telemarketer slowed down on and I actually did hear sounded good since I was planning a vacation out that way. So at first I thought "what could it hurt".
When I got the information and realized it was not what I had been led to believe I called the 1-888-824-7675 number provided. Well I tried that number several times and got an automated responce that said "Im sorry all our lines are busy, please try again later" or something to that extent. Finally I got to a menu that said to press 1 to cancel, and I did as it said. That was 2 Weeks ago that I thought I cancelled.
Today I checked my bank statement and found a withdrawal for $59.95 to Capital TAID/Sun CapitalTAID. I didn't recognize it at first beings I thought I had cancelled it. And after checking I found that (not such a big surprise after reading all the posts) It was them.
I'm not exactly sure what I am going to do. I do know I am going to go to the bank tomorrow and get any further transactions by them blocked. And hopefully, I will get my money back from either the company, or the bank, beings that I cancelled 2 weeks before they "billed" me. (Of course, how it is a "bill" when you already cancelled and didnt use their product or service, I still haven't figured out.)
I'm hoping I get my money back. But even if I don't, maybe my adding my post to this will help someone else not to get scammed.
