The Gardens at Mile High Ranch
Unfortunate situation while visiting

My husband and I purchased a deal for a two night stay at The Gardens-Mile Ranch, Besbee AZ and we went to spend our anniversary there.

We were really concerned about our unfortunate experience while doing check out in this place... While I was walking with my dog and my 3 year old daughter, there was also another dog that was unleashed and running around this property.

The employee knew that we had a dog too and a little girl with us. Someone came to visit her and brought the dog. We saw them walking around the property. Suddenly, the unleashed dog came to us and attacked to my dog biting her in her face, very close to her eye. I was able to remove my little girl and my dog too but it was too late for my dog because was ill.

When we left my dog was bleeding and with a hole on her face and some scratches on her ear. I was very upset about this unfortunate situation. We had to spend the rest of our day looking in this little town for a Vet (we drove 30 minutes away and we were so far and on the border with Mexico), we had to spend $80 for the visit/medication. The owner of the dog and/or the employee didn’t even offer any help of any kind.

We believe that the pet’s owner came to the hotel to work on a project or was a friend of them.

We just want to recommend that people be more aware about the problems that can be caused having pets unleashed. Thankfully, nothing happened to my daughter. We drove 4 hrs back home that day in the afternoon.

I hope that this company learns about the importance of being more responsible while having guests, pets and kids inside a hotel/property.

This was a very upsetting situation and an expense that we didn’t expect. I understand things can happen between dogs but the most upsetting fact was the people’s irresponsibility. I really hope that dog had all his vaccinations and my dog don’t get sick because the bite.
