Ripoff... I was scammed like many!

My father purchased this so-called "amazing trip" for my college graduation gift. I was to stay in Ft. Lauderdale for 3 days then board onto the Imperial Majesty for a 3 day cruise to the bahamas.
About a week before the trip, I came across this website. I then showed it to my dad who called the company immediately. I have a medical condition where all of my medications have to be kept cold in a refridgerator. We were told by the company that a fridge would be in the room for me. Later on the phone, we found out we were in fact not staying at Ramada but were actually staying at Quality INN (not on the beach and no fridge available).
Also on the phone we questioned Imperial Majesty cruise line. There are other reports on different web pages about it's uncleanliness and the amount of people becoming sick during the cruise. We were told "no such thing has happened on Imperial Majesty". My father simply said it is unacceptable and we either wanted a refund or to be sent to another hotel and another cruise line. We were then told that couldn't be done unless we wanted to pay more. But why should we have to pay more to stay healthy on a vacataion?!
We canceled the trip and are still attempting to get our money back. It's been a month now, and no luck yet. I ended up taking another trip through a wonderful company and had a wonderful time. I met up with some friends that did in fact do the ft. Lauderdale ramada package with the 3 day cruise. They stated that the elevator and ice machines were not in working order at Quality INN, and they both were sick with stomach viruses during the cruise. They complained the cruise boat was rusted with chipped paint, and never really "clean".
It really makes me angry that there are people actually out there in this world who think it's okay to scam people or not tell them the whole truth. We were never told or shown what hotel we would actually be staying at. It doesn't state it anywhere in the papers we received. We will continue to try for a refund.
