I got my credit card statement on 4-7-04 and on 3-12-04 I was billed by a company simple escapes for 154.95 for something I did not sign up for. After calling the company to find out who they are, I was informed that it was billed through AOL for a "dinning and entertainment discount package". I informed them that I did not sign up for any package. They stated that they would refund the full amount in 2-3 billing cycles.
After calling my CC company I found that it is common practice for AOL to basically sell your CC information to others.
