Offered a flat commission but then charged a disgusting exchange rate

At Sydney Airport I saw a Travelex currency exchange kiosk. I decided to change a small amount of money for my destination. The person told me they provide a flat fee commission of $8 if I exchange $500 or more. I agreed to do that.

When I got to the destination I discovered that the exchange rate they used was 20% off the mid rate for the day.

It was a dirty trick to give me the impression I was getting a good deal by exchanging more money and "receiving" a flat commission. It must be horrible to earn your money by constantly ripping off innocent travellers.
