Bait and switch of availability to sell membership / inaccurate claims

I was called by Club Hotel as a person referred from a friend of mine. I was led to believe that this membership was valid at just about every hotel in the country. It was also claimed that there were very little black out dates. It turns out that the membership is not valid at hardly any hotels.

When I call to book my "complimentary" night stay (membership is $130- not very complimentary), it turns out restrictions and black out dates are rampant. Basically there are so many rooms allotted to be used for the membership. If the hotel is at 20% occupancy, but the rooms sets aside for the memberhsip are taken, that falls under the "restrictions" category.

Buyer beware. You are able to cancel membership within 10 days. Unfortunately, it took over a month to get my membership packet. Convenient! Would not recommend going this marketing scheme!
