Trip deposit refund

On 06/10/10, I placed a deposit of 100.00 toward a trip to Branson Mo. Scheduled for 11/26/10. After the above date, It was determined my wife had to have surgery which could limit her activities but had hopes of still going. On Oct. 7th, after seeing her surgeon, my wife informed me that she would not be able to travel for a period of approximatley 3 months after the surgery schedule for the week of the 11th. At that time I went to the office presented the Doctors note and was told the company could not refund the money. Since the company was given sufficient notice prior to the full amount due date and ample time to replace us, I felt the refund should have been honored. I did not receive any written documentation to this date staing there were no refunds.
