Ripoff Advertised free airline tickets sent us validation number but haven't heard back from them since August

EBAY was auctioning off sets of airline tickets any where in the world for a set price. You were to send your money to someone else that was hosting a charity event. Then the charity submitted your name to The Guest List for the supposedly free airline tickets. I have followed all of the necessary steps even received a validation number from The Guest List, but as of August have not heard a word from this company.
Never again will I buy anything off of the internet solely on their word of this is not a SCAM!
