All responsible travelers should boycott Belize as a tourism destination due to their inaction on human trafficking crime.

We are calling on all travelers to Central America, from hosteling youth to potential cruise line passengers and resort guests, to bypass Belize due to its record as one of the world's worst human trafficking offenders.

Our travel consumer watchdog group, Organization for Responsible Tourism, strongly advocates a travel ban to Belize until its government adopts the breakthrough human trafficking policies recently announced by the Government of Honduras.

Last month Honduras announced its intentions to follow US recommendations to address human trafficking in that country, including assignment of a 20-prosecutor team to investigate, prosecute and convict human trafficking offenders.

Belize is a no-go human trafficking zone. Until hey adopt Honduras’ commitment to address human trafficking tourists are urged to boycott Belize indefinitely
