Professionalclosers. Webs.com Another Work At Home Telemarketing Job Who Didn't Pay

Traveling & Tourism

I worked as an independent contractor for a company called GMI Central otherwise known as Global Marketing International.
The job involved calling businesses, finding decisions makers interested in receiving emailed information.

This contained details on travel incentive packages used for attracting new customers or motivate employees.
The pay agreement was simple, it was a draw against commission, meaning $12 an hour or straight commission, whichever was higher.

I was able to set almost 40 appointments in 40 hours, that's an incredible amount considering the economy, I had a database of businesses which I provided who had expressed an interest in various advertising gimmicks, this made it a lot easier.

I Was told that I was doing a wonderful job, but over time the story changed, one appointment an hour was no longer enough, now it needed to be three or four appointments set per hour.

Now all of a sudden the closers weren't closing the deals, and out of almost 40 appointments, I was told that only one seemed really good with the rest being mediocre.

When I started the job, I was told by the owner that he was in a large call center, but when I Googled the address it was found only to be a residential area, then when trying to collect my check by email I was again given the runaround, on different occasions I was emailed notes from the same email address, all claiming to be different people.

The first person was the administrator claiming that he couldn't understand why my check didn't hit my bank by direct depost.
The second person claimed to be a lawyer and this big legal team was going to sue me if I posted anything about them.
The third person was a nice doctor who invited me to an online phone and internet meeting.

I attended the meeting, learned a lot of nice things, but the sound was muted so I couldn't ask any questions such as "by the way, what happened to my paycheck?".
The fourth person was the owner asking "you didn't get it?" after again sending an email.

It's very interesting, could it truly be the Wizard of Oz? Saying "Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain! Or is it instead simply one man pretending to be four different people all living in the same house?
This is the second work at home telemarketing job in a row who hasn't paid me.

So if anyone doesn't want to become homeless, hungry and live in a hopeless miserable mindset after working for nothing, then I'de recommend distancing yourself from companies such as these.
