Vlad is a hoax and a scam

Traveling & Tourism

Just thought I'd add my two cents about this business practice. We were contacted on Sunday afternoon and was informed that we had won a prize-2 nights/3 days all expenses paid to either Orlando or Cancun, Mexico. My wife repeatedly asked if they going to sell us something, and she took careful notes, but figured it was worth the trip down to Crystal Lake to listen to the hour long session in order to get our prize.

In a nutshell the place reeked of a scam from the sparse furnishings to the poorly dressed henchmen who try to close the deal at the end.in all we were face to face with three separate salesman trying to entice us into their vacation packages of 7 nights/8 days for the low price of $159 a week, along with an annual service charge of $359. I was not impressed at all with the presentation and they threw up numbers at such a fast pace it was hard to keep up, but at some point they threw out the big number of something like $11,900 for a life time membership that can be passed down and ddown to future relatives. This was what they were fishing for. (I thought it odd that they kept using the term "busines model" in comparing this to other companies that they loathe or admired, but it didn't make sense to have a lifetime membership fee that could be passed down for centuries. A poor business model in my opinion.) This was the first sales pitch, and was quickly followed up by the vice president of the company (Vlad) who just happended to be there that night, but he contradicted himself later when he said he was always there for new location openings for the forst couple of months. His first maneuver was to reduce that lifetime price of $11,900 to $7,900 and just for today and again threw up numbers on how you could save so much money that it practically paid for itself in the first trip. And then finally you were separated by couple to have another salesman - the poorly dressed ones go over your application. At this point I had had enough and made a big stink, said a few choice curse words and had the Vice President-Vlad tell me that they didn't want my business. He got really agitated when I told him I was going to contact the Attorney General to find out if this biz was legit. I suspect it isn't. Let the buyer beware.
