Valdoro Marketing Mountain Lodge
Ripoff Won't refund my money, they are denying package was cancelled by me. Consumers being taken for their hard earned money

My wife and I recently purchased a $200.00 package to Valdoro Mountain Lodge. We decided to cancel and wait till next year to purchase another package so as not to miss out on what we thought would be interesting. On 05/07 we received the letter confirming our purchase with telephone numbers to call if we had questions or to cancel, and that we had 14 days to cancel.

I immediately called to cancel and spoke to a woman who didn't give me her name. I told her I wanted to cancel the package and she didn't sound very happy when she proceeded to ask me why. I told her we decided to wait and wanted to cancel and that we would book the package next year. She said ok and that the package was cancelled. I received my June credit card statement and there was still the $200.00 charge from Valdoro Marketing. I called the Valdoro Mountain Lodge where I spoke to a gentleman. He gave me a 1-800 number in Missouri.

I talked to a woman and asked her why I had'nt been credited for my calcellation. She said there was no record of cancellation and asked me for my confirmation number for the cancellation. I told her that I wasn't given one and she said there was nothing she could do. I told her I would have to go through my credit card company to get my money back and she said that was fine.
As you might know this really upset me.

A potential customer getting treated like this. It seems to me there is either a breakdown in their cancellation system or comsumers like me are getting set up to be taken for their hard earned money.
