Fail to respond to a refund request

Traveling & Tourism

Bon Voyage Travel/SeaLand Travel use high-pressure sales tactics to get their "victims" to immediately sign a contract to use their travel services. Before being allowed to enter their presentation room, they check to see if your credit card is good, and they will keep it until after the presentation. If it checks out OK, they usher you into the room and start their presentation. After that, the "victims" are split up and sent to a room where several of their sales staff start working on you and your spouse to sign and charge all costs to your credit card. Once they have your card, and you sign, that's it! They won't even consider a refund the next day. The credit card company says they won't cancel the charge because of signing a contract. Their documents state that some things are subject to Texas law and that some things aren't.

We signed in November, notified Bon Voyage Travel the very next day by phone, letter, fax and even sent a certified letter. Bon Voyage hasn't made any offer to refund any portion of our credit card charge even though we contacted them the very next day and did not use any of their services. We definitely have buyers remorse, and immediately realized it. However, these people are out to stuff their pockets with cash and are very good at luring in their "victims" with offers of free goods.

If anyone receives a card in the mail offering free plane tickets from Millennium Travel & Promotions. Don't go! If it involved Bon Voyage Travel in Austin, TX, or if Sea Land Travel from Kansas City MO is involved and you are stuck, file a complaint with your State Attorney General and the Better Business Bureau. Most anything else you purchase in the state of Texas you are able to get a refund if done within a reasonable time frame! Not with these folks! If they get your money, they will keep all of it!!
