Kings Creek Plantation
Experience The Dream Rip-off

Traveling & Tourism

I too had a terrible experience with Kings Creek Plantation. Last march, my husband and I took the tour of the timeshare. Of course we liked what we saw but because my husband and I agreed not to make any additional bills due to our budget we decided not to purchase. After sitting there for 2 plus hours with our kids in their kids room, we were ushered into another room where Joseph Schuerman gave us his high pressured sales pitch. We agreed after a hard pressure, fast talking sales pitch to purchase a charter membership called experience the dream. This package promised to give us 7 vacations and a freeze in ownrship price if we decided to become owners after 18 months. All of this for 95.00 down and 3 payments of 100.00 each.included in those vacations were cruises, airfare, resort vacations etc. However, when we tried to use the vacations there were all these stipulations that were never told to us like the trips are subject to taxes and surcharges and travel can olny take place at certain times and even when we called we were able to meet the criteria to book anything.

Well I came to find out that they pulled a bait and switch on us, we were promised one thing and received something else. We were told that we could stay the resort after paying the the 395.00 and that was not true. Then I find out that Kings Creek had been taking out 100.00 a month out of my account that I was never told would occur. I did sign paperwork but what I was told I was getiing was not what I got and I would have never knowingly agreed to anything requiring a monthly payment when that is why we said no to buying in the first place.

Well now the 18 months is up and what do we have to show for it? Nothing and I am out of $800.00. I too like one of the other complaintents had to take action with my bank to stop the payments. Of course when you call them (I spoke with Bonnie Young) her excuse is that I signed the form and Joe is a good salesman, yeah he is good with bait and switch. I understand from reading one of the other reports that he was the one who sold/lied to the other people. Clearly, this is not an isolated case, I know that there are others out there who have been victimized. I too am all for a class action lawsuit, if anyone hears of one let me know.
