Cancun, Mexico Investment opportunity scam, BEND OVER AND GRAB YOUR ANKLES

In October my wife and I were visiting Cancun. We were approached to attend a presentation on NH Krystal hotels.in exchange for our time we would receive a dinner for two. We had nothing else to do so we attended.
The presentation began with a gentleman taking us to lunch and showing us the resort. I was not totally impressed with the units because they had no cooking facilities but we continued the tour.

We were then take to the office and introduced to Mr. Ray Peace. Mr. Peace explained the timeshare program to us. He explained that we would be getting 25 weeks over 25 years at all three Krystal resorts that could be exchanged with other time-shares and even cruises.in addition to this we would get 25 bonus weeks that could only be used at the Krystal resorts. It gets better. Along with this great deal we would get a 25 year paid membership in the ICE vacation club and that we would never pay more than $399.00 for a week anywhere in the world.

We told Mr. Peace that we could not afford the offer and that we were not interested. Mr. Peace than asked How about if I show you how to get the timeshare for free? I was interested and asked how he could do that? Mr Peace then explained to us that he would buy back the first two years of timeshare from us. He said we would receive a check for $10,000 in February for the 2008 portion. We would then sell the 2009 weeks and receive another $10,000.00 by April. That sounded good so we agreed. He told us that we would be contacted by the person who would handle the sale in 30 days."

Mr. Peace then brought over Mr. Ray Rubio. Mr. Rubio handles the contracts. Mr. Rubio established a credit card account for us to cover half the cost of the timeshare. The card would be interest free for one year and we would pay $100.00 / mth. Krystal held the note for the other half of the deal. We were assured that we would only have to make one payment in January on the Krystal and Bank of America accounts. He said that the check would arrive in February.

The check for $10,000.00, we were suppose to receive in February, would cover the cost of these loans. We have received nothing to date. We signed and celebrated. Mr. Peace said he would take our papers and place them in a folder for us. Upon leaving I notice a paper that stated the sale price of our weeks on a desk and asked for my copy. Mr. Peace gave me a copy. I notice later that papers explaining the deal were taken out when he transferred them to the Nice FolderAfter arriving home I was contacted by Brian Jackson from RSI. He said he was handling the sale of the time-share.

I told him what was explained to me and he said he knew they said those things but that's not how it works. He said I would have to pay them a $596.00 one time fee to handle the rentals of the time share and that IF they rented them I would get a check. He was not buying the first two years from me. He was not representing NH Krystal in their purchase from me.in essence. We were lied to. The Ice Platinum vacation club then contacted me. We discussed my membership and low and behold it was not as explained to us. The first two years of membership would be free then it would cost us $300.00 for two years, every year after that.

I asked about the $399.00 weekly rentals and was informed that only occurs when some one is doing a last minute deal. I looked at the web site and saw that the average timeshare cost would be $1500.00. They also told me they are aware that Krystal resorts makes those statements and should not do that. I began contacting Mr. Rubio immediately. October. Mr Rubio ignored my emails and calls for quite some time until I sent him a nasty email.
They have not done anything to resolve these issues.
