Consumer fraud ripoff Fort Lauderdale

Ramada Plaza Resorts consumer fraud ripoff, unauthorized amount on credit card. Spent sevral hours on the phone and got nowhere. Need help what do I do??? Ft. Lauderdale Florida...

I recvd a letter in the mail from RPR (Ramada Plaza Resorts) offering this wonderful first class vacation for simply filling out a one page survey. I called and was told that I was getting this vacation for Ft. Lauderdale Fl., a cruise to the Bahamas, and also staying at the Ramada Universal Studios resort in Orlando. I was told that I am getting all of this for a low price of 698.00 for me and 698.00 for my husband and also 99.00 for my child. Airfare not included, but hey it still seemed pretty cheap for all those destinations.

However they wanted the first 698.00 over the phone or they couldn't give me the vacation package. I told them that I had to speak to my husband first, but I could not afford to pay 698.00 right now, I mean I don't have that kind of money to just pay them in one day, I told them I have bills to pay.

Well he proceded to tell me that he could work out a deal with me that I could pay 87.00 down and then 9 payments of 67.89 automatically taken out of my account. I asked several times to make sure the only thing I am being charged for is the fee of 87.00 right now, they said yes. I was told that the conversation is recorded.

After speaking with them I immediatly went to checking account and seen that they had charged my account 349.00 and had overdrawn my account. I had other bills paid out and now they left me short of money, I was furious. I immediatly called the bank and they said to call the company and have them send a letterhead with the managers signature and the correct amount anf account # and they could take care of it. I called and spoke to Dennis Macintosh a supposed manager, he said that my bank would have to call him and he would give them a merchant id#. I called the bank and went back and forth between the two places all day.

Basically the bank said that it was thier fault and they had to take care of it. And they didn't understand what the problem was with sending them the letterhead. I called RPR several times and then finally spoke to the person that sold me the deal and was told that the credit would be on my account in one hour. Well it wasn't and I called back and was told thier was nothing that they could do today I would have to call and talk to thier general manager tomorrow. So I decided to go online and do a little research and then I found this site and feel completely STUPID!!!

I could not believe all of the complaints for this place and now I am afraid they are going to keep taking my money now that they have my credit card info. How do I stop this. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!! Send me any suggestions you may have to stop these payments from going through.
