Ripoff WONT RETURN CALLS WANTED VISA NOT A CHECK deceptive company

We recently got a call from a company stating that if we would go to sun country travel for a meeting on how to save money on travel that we would receive a free trip to cozumel.

We attended the meeting and were told that this was a hrd core sales meeting and that they would be pitching for a life-time vacation discount membership,, for only $6,000!!!

Being that we hardly ever travel because of 4 chilren, we decided to give them $ 150 and start to make payments for this package.

After returning home we realized that there was no way we could afford to do this.

That very next morning i called and requested to talk to bill cathey;

I was told he was not in but would return my call shortly.

By mid-afternoon the call was not returned.

So, i decided to write a letter requesting the money back and faxed it.

One week later my calls and faxes still have not been returned.

Oh, let me back up;

I wrote a check for the amount and then on returning the salesman said that i would need to pay with a credit or debit card...

Oh of course so i cant stop payment on the check!!!

The cruise voucher to cozumel is far from free.

You have to pay a $100 deposit to be returned 30 days after the trip, and then all taxes and port charges are to be paid upon trip confirmation.

So now it went from free to over $300.

The voucher also says that residents of their state ie: texas cannot leave from their home port.

So, if you cant leave from your home port then thats more money on airfare you have to spend.

This place is a rip-off!!!

Vacationers beware!!!

I have contacted my bank to dispute the charges, and i plan to call the bbb and channel 4 news about this rip-off!!!

Please come forward if you have been ripped off by this company.
