They refuse refund to the faulty service they provided and refunded only part of the cost

Russian visa and travel requires confirmation from place of stay. I contacted G and R international owned Hostel-Asia and requested their services. They sent me the documents and they were in russian so I could not crosscheck the authenticity of what they had written.

On applying for the visa, the authorities told me that there is a mistake in the document and hence did not grant me the visa. I approached the Hostel - asia staff asking for a refund of the money (it was ~US$ 175). They initially refused it and after many e-mails agreed to refund part of the money (US$ 126).

Tired of dealing with these people, I agreed but when my credit card statement arrived, they only refunded (US$110). They now say that I am lying. I have all the documents to prove that they made a mistake. They were condescending to the end and gave vague explainations for bank charges.

In my many years of using credit cards, I have never heard of bank charges. This is a BIG scam operation going on in Russia. None of their businesses are valid and honest.

I request a full refund of the money I paid in addition to damages for the lost time at work (500 US$ in total) and 4 hrs spent in the cold waiting in line for the visa.
