Delta Airlines clearly displays a "No Refund" policy. And does not clearly disclose that there "is a refund policy". The website offers no clearly defined way of refunding the ticket or allowing you to use an unused portion of it.

They want to keep the cash you've spent and not explain upfront what alternatives you might have to spend your own cash if circumstances prevent from flying on the appointed date.

Other airlines let you use portions or all of your unused ticket a year from the travel date. Not Delta. Their policy is a year from purchase date.

Don't expect help from customer service. Off to India your call goes and they won't help you, if you can understand what they are saying. They tow the company line and will not have the authority to correct or even offer a solution.
