Harvey's Lake Tahoe Resort And Casino
Failure to Refund Deposit, or answer phone calls, or return calls

I had a reservation at Harvey's Hotel and Casino in South Lake Tahoe for 2/14/08. A $119.90 deposit was deducted from my debit card to hold the reservation. Harrah's/Harvey's policy is that you can cancel within 72 hours of check in and recieve the full deposit back within 7 - 10 business days. I cancelled my reservation on 2/11/08 at 2:40 P.M. (73 hours and 20 minutes before check in). I received a Cancellation Confirmation Code: WXBDN as well as an e-mail confirmation stating that I would receive a refund of the $119.90 to my account within 7 - 10 business days. On 2/21 (7 business days in) I called to inquire about the refund. I was immediately put through to the billing department were the voicemail said all calls would be returned within 3 business days. On 2/26 I called again, again I was put through to voice mail where I left another message. On 2/29 I called again and requested a supervisor as I still had not recieved a return call (or more importantly my refund). Guess what? Voice mail, leave a message... Blah, blah, blah. Today, 3/3 I called again and told the ladie that answered I needed to speak to an actual person and that billing is not returning our calls (I have friend who cancelled as well and has not received his refund either) and of course... Yet again... I get put through to a voicemail.

I am extremely frustrated and although it's not a lot of money, it's the principal of the matter. I will never stay at any Harrah's/Harvey's hotel or casino and will make sure all of my friends and family know of my situation. I just want my refund so I can stop wasting my time...
