Unauthorized payment of $169.93

I received a call from Apex stating that I won a free digital camera and a three day trip to anywhere in the U.S. The only thing that I needed to do is pay for $1.95 for shipping of the information package and that they will also send me Slim Body Fuel/Advantage Communications (Web and Long Distance provider) and Coast to Coast Travel Club for a free trial period and I can opt out within the first 10 days of receiving this without any charges.

This 10 days start from the time you hang up the phone apparently. I received my package about a week and a half later looked at the information and called in to cancel all three of the memberships thinking the 10 days start from the time you receive the package.

Two days after cancelling the service I pulled up my bank account online and saw that I was charged $169.93 for that phone call. I called the Customer Service line (what a joke) to dispute the charge that I did not authorize and was informed that I did three time on the phone and I was given 10 days to opt out. This is where I found out the 10 days start at the time of the call.

As she kept stating over and over that I authorized this and there is nothing she can do I stated, "So basically this company is running a f*cking scam" and she replied, "If you want to put it in those words, yes".

I did research online and found out I was not alone. I am pretty sure that I will never see my money again but if this report helps in any way to inform others and to shut them down than this is something that I will be apart of.
