Worldmark Anaheim Sales Center
Timeshare presentation bait and switch

Traveling & Tourism

After having attended a 2 hour time share presentation at the WorldMark Anaheim Sales Center i was motivated to research this company online and see what consumers had posted complaints against this organization. I wanted to share my experience with consumers because these are hard times for all of us, and i know that we are all looking for "deals" so that we can still find entertainment for our family's.

In a nutshell this presentation ended with the finance manager trying to convince me to finance $11,000 dollars at the APR between 13-25%! I was shocked beyond belief! All the smoke and mirrors about time share ownership and wanting to save consumers money was a complete fabrication.

This organization is generating revenue from these high interest loans that the average person would quickly default. The sales reps do not care that the person can not afford to pay these high principal and exorbitant APR loans, they try to bait you by telling you that you only have to pay them a $1000 down payment on your credit card!

When i was firm with the sales person and finance person that i will not finance $11000 thru WorldMark, they were no longer interested in my business, the finance manager walked away and dismissed me altogether. So what happened to all the song and dance about caring about the consumer taking much needed vacations, and wanting to save them from being ripped off by hotels.

The consumer needs to see thru the lies and marketing trapps. All consumers must ask to see all the terms and agreements of the vacation ownership. There are so many fees and restrictions tied into the contract, financing a high interest loan is just the beginning of endless fees and headaches.

I would like to hear from other consumers who have been baited with the promise of a mini 3 day "free" vacation. I found that you can only arrive at the location on a sun, mon or tue, and that you have to go thru a broker to book the reservation for you, and that you have to give them 2 mos advance notice before booking, you also only have 6 mos to book the reservation and complete the transaction. The consumer is responsible for paying the taxes on the stay, aproximately $50. And you cannot arrive anywhere near a holiday. So you have to ask yourself did you really receive anything of value in exchange for 2 hours of your time?
