Mis conseption of MONEY with false impressions

I hired ABF u-pack to bring a 14ft freight truck to my home in Florida. My huband had to have emergency brain surgery and I only had 3days to get all of my belongings out of the house. I called ABF more than 3x just confirming on how this worked. I explained my situation of how I did not have a Dolly and needed to make sure I had one with the truck. I was told from day one i would have one available, due to having to move a Frig and very heavy boxes. I was also told the truck would be there by noon 11/08/07. The truck did not arrive until 4:30p that day. That gave me one less day to pack it up due to having no sun to work with.

There was no Dolly on the truck and then when i aske the driver he said they would bring one the next day. The dolly never arrived the next day and i called the company. They said they don't even have those to give out. So that was strike #2. I started packing the truck and again thinking it was a 14ft trailer I packed it very loose. I could of packed it much higher and closer had I known it was larger than i ordered. Under my surprise they said it was a 28ft trailer and I used all of it up.instead of $946.00 that i was intispating to be charged, they charged me $1346.00 the same day they picked it up. This overdrawn my checking acct since I was not ready for them to put a hold on that much money nor did I think it would of charged since the trailer was not even delivered. I was told, the contract states that. I told them that one the contract was in NC where I now live and we are in FLa. How am i suppose to know what the contract states. I had one print out to go on and that was the price of the 14ft.

I called them to ask them if they could make an exception to the price due to the mis communication and being mislead. They took an extra $400 and then my overdraft fees were $420.00. They said they couldn't do better than $90.00. AS of today, they have not credited my checking acct but they sure took out the pmt for the truck.

Not everyone has good vision to begin with, and why couldn't they clarify this over the phone when i called 3x. This is how they get you.

Be very careful with this company they are just trying to make you think you getting a huge break where they then take you for everything you have.
