Online ticketing gave me wrong ticket now won't honor it atlanta georgia

I made an online reservation for my 73 year old mother from Charleston, WV to Atlanta, GA. When I made the reservation, the online instructions said it could not go through due to incorrect credit card information, so I changed the name of my mother to my stepfather and it went through. I recieved the receipt and itinary confirmatin with her name at the top and thought it was correct. I printed it and mailed it to her to travel with.

When she received it, she said it had my stepfather as the passenger, not her. I immediately got online with Delta and they said they can't change it, it's their policy, and we have to buy another ticket if we won't my mother to travel. My stepfather never had any plans to travel. We have made plans for her great-grandchildren to surprise her, and I have bought Women of Faith seminar/conference tickets at the cost of $250.00 during this trip for her.

She (nor I) can afford to turn around and buy another ticket (plus we would be stuck with a ticket with my step father's name on it and he definitely won't be travelling - in fact, he just got out of the hospital from a mild heart attack!).

I can't even get Delta to call me or respond except to say they can't do anything about it.

If anyone knows of someone from Delta that I can speak with, please let me know.

Unfortunately, Delta is the only airlines that flys out of Charleston, WV to Atlanta, GA.

Delta is cold and uncaring - even when THEY are the ones making the mistakes.
