(Owner DAN) False confirmation papers with incorrect dates, lies about having dates corrected. Hotel has no record of your confirmation. Never returns your call ripoff

During the middle of March I sent in a free trip of 3 days 2nights with three different dates. The first date had to be 60 days away and each date thereafter had to be 30 days apart.

After about 1 week I was contacted concerning my date and booked at the hotel LaQuinta in Myrtle beach, sc. I then received a call from Dan, after my booking stating this was probably not a good time due to it being Bikers week and I was bringing two children. Dan convinced me to change my weekend getaway to another date.

I chose June 8-10, well when my confirmation arrived about a week later, it stated June 10-12. I called him on the same day it arrived to inform him that the dates were incorrect. At the time that I called a gentleman claiming to be his supervisor stated he was not in, but took the information, stating I should get a corrected version of my confirmation in a week. No confirmation came.

Later in the week I call Dan to confirm he has corrected the information, He hasn't. He states oh we probably just didn't mail out the corrected confirmation and says he will get it in the mail to me and will call once he has completed the task. DAn never calls. We are now 1 month into this and I decide to call the Hotel to see if they have my confirmation on file. The laQuinta in only had the first May dates and they are closed out. The manager of LaQuinta states she hasn't received any change notice.

Well, May 18 is now 2 weeks away. I call Dan and leave a message to return my call. Dan never calls. I called him back the next day and he says I was #3 on his list to call. I explain that my dates are not confirmed and that the hotel has no record of this and that it now has been over 1 month trying to get this matter taken care of. He says to me whatever, we will take care of it. When I begin to ask for a refund because he had such a nasty attitude, he hangs up on me.

When I attempt to call back from my cell # and my work# he won't answer. So I left him a message letting him know that I have contacted my attorney and expect a full refund and that I know he's sitting at the desk but won't answer the phone. I then procede to call back again and he still doesn't answer.

So I use a co-workers cell phone to call and lo and behold he answers on the first ring. I guess he has caller id and was trying to avoid me. He of course doesn't know who i am. I proceed to inquire about a refund and he ask for my certificate number. I also ask to speak with the Supervisor and he stated he owns the business and what about our conversation did I not like. I told him I didn't like the fact that you hung up on me and I want my money back. And the attitude returns when he realizes who he is talking to. He repeatedly talks over me and states if i get a refund it would take 3 weeks.

So I let him know my attorney will be contacting him. He stated He didn't care and didn't need to listen to this. I still don't know if I'm going to get my money back. This guy is arrogant and crazy. And once again he hangs up on me. So i believe he is a rip off so that he gets to keep your money when he hasn't done his job.

This was supposed to be a tie to trip that went along with my time share but this guy is crazy. I guess if it sounds to good to be true it really is. I have filed a report with the attorney generals office. I did it here in nc, sc, and fl because I'm not really sure where he is located, there is no address on his confirmation sheet.
