Is scam, paying thousands for glorified travel agency ripoff

Our long-needed vacation to Branson turned into a nightmare, and costly experience. On April 6 my husband and I were pressured to buy into the Grand Crowne Travel Network at a cost of $3389.00, money we couldn't afford to charge. As the annual fee of and additional $189.00 approaches, I am reminded of this bad experience.

On April 21 I wrote Member Services Quality Assurance Review Board to get out of the contract. I received a discouraging response that basically said "too bad sucker".

We have used the travel services only because we had paid for them, not because they were able to get us better travel pricing. I did much of the legwork through on-line travel sites and Grand Crowne matched those prices. That's why I say they are a glorified travel agency who takes money pretending to be something they are NOT.

I'm tired of seeing their responses to complaints stating they have "80,000" member. So what? How many are like us are not satisfied? Do the math and this is what I see. If everyone paid $4000 for the membership (which I see is low-end), that equals $320,000, 000. Then add on $189 annual fees, that's another $1,520, 000 annual income. This is a very lucrative scam, millions!

As a side note - when you google Grand Crowne Travel Network, the first item listed is the Grand Crowne website, and the second is the many complaints. That doesn't say much for Grand Crowne

I wish someone would do something about this organization and let us cancel and get our money back. My husband is currently in Iraq and tells me to get a lawyer. It's a hassle but would be worth it.

If there is a class action going on, will someone inform me? I'll sign up today. I have all my documentation.in Minnesota there is a cooling off period on contracts, which allows consumers to back out. Perhaps our State's Attorney General would be interested in this matter.
