Customer Service Ripoff, unethical, shaddy customer service agent cancels my reservations

I purchased 2 full fare, unrestricted tickets on ATA from Dallas to Chicago and flew with my infant son and wife. We were to depart late on a sunday, my son was sick and we were in Chicago so I called to see if the airline would change my ticket for earlier that day. (Remember it was a full fare, unrestricted).

I called and was connected to customer service in the Phillipines!!! The lady cant speak english. I talk to her and I offer to pay a change fee and she says we need to buy new tickets if we want to leave earlier. I say let me speak to your boss, she puts another non english speaker on the phone who says that I will have to pay the difference in fare from my original full fare price to the current, last minute full fare price (which was about $400), plus a change fee.in all this was more than the original purchase.

I ask to speak to an american supervisor, she connects me to a lady in Indianapolis who was very rude, disrespectful, and unhelpful. She tells me that she isnt going to do anything for me and that I should have just listened to the original person. I argue with her, by this time I am really pissed and explaine that I already have a full fare, unrestricted ticket and all I want to do is fly 6 hours earlier. She said pay the 500 bucks. I said no and she said ok and slammed the phone down on me.

We get to the airport with a sick infant, go to the reservation desk and find out that our reservation had been deleted by "someone" in their customer service department and that the flight was now fully booked and they sold our seats (which I had not gotten a refund for).

We have to now sit standby on the flight that we paid full price for and had confirmed seat assignments on! ATA is the worst airline on the planet and I will NEVER fly them again. ATA you and your people SUCK!!!
