Ripoff bait and switch operation

1. We were never told it was a timeshare pitch until after we paid money and received the packet at which time they would not refund the down payment. We specifically asked and we told no. 2. We were offered an upgrade at Fort Lauderdale location. The sales person directed us to a web site (which I can provide) for and given address, paid an additional 195.00 based on this site we paid the additional monies. 3. We paid to add an additional guest bringing the total to 3 adults and 1 child. 4. Received itinerary we called 3 times to confirm that the South Florida Hotel listed was the one we paid for gave them the exact name and address and we were lied to all 3 times. 5. Paid to upgrade car rental to a mid-size to accommodate 4 four with luggage we arrived and the car was too small so we had to pay again to get a car that could hold the luggage and 4 people traveling. 6. When we arrived we were sent to 16461 Racquet Club Rd.instead. Not the place we paid the upgrade for - we went to the address we were given on the upgrade and were told but the desk employee "Oh yes, they do this all the time". 7. The room only had accommodations for 3 at most. 1 double bed and 1 fold out bed. Our son had to sleep on a settee that was about a foot to short for him. I suffered several insect bites at this location the room was infested. When we contacted the desk they referred us to the Florida Welcome Center phone number. When we called them we were told that there were no other vacancies at our location and they denied that we were ever given the wrong information. 8. We paid for an upgraded cabin on cruise we were not placed in the cabin we paid for - people who did not upgrade at all had better cabins then we were put in. We complained and the cruise employees said that we were assigned to the correct cabin level based on the documentation they had and to contact the welcome center or Ramada. This was not possible due to the boat leaving port. 9. Returned to port and when we arrived at Orlando Amerihost hotel. The first room was infested with ants we asked then to take care of it and left for Universal Studios. Upon our return they had done nothing. We had to move to other room at 10:00 pm. Upon entering the second room we found a tooth that was on the floor next to the bed returned it to the desk and were told so sorry needless to say the cleaning team needed a lot of help.

After the first issue we made a family decision to have fun no matter what and to do all that we could upon our return to stop others from being treated this way. So take your money book your own vacation and have fun - despite Florida letting businesses like this operate it really is a beautiful state with a lot to do.
