Upon booking a vacation room from Family Inns Of America my children and myself arrived at the hotel. Right off it was very dirty, But no big deal we were going to go to the beach. Upon leaving the hotel I placed a DND on the door because we were staying another night and also because I had valuables in the room. Upon returning and approaching the door I saw it was cracked open and the DND was gone. I opened the door and the room had been made, towels replaced, but upon inspection for valuables found my Brand new DVD player was missing with the movies in the carry bag. I immediately went to the front office to report the issue and asked for a incident report and the receptionist said "Not Again". She called the manager and explained the issue and was asked to tell what happened on a piece of notebook paper. Wow. Can you believe it? I went back to the room and called the police to file a formal report. After many attempts to find out their intentions I finally got a call from Their insurance agent and was told "he said she said" and I was denied my claim. I am now seeking a lawyer for small claims. If you want to feel safe and secure with your family and your valuables do NOT stay at FIA hotel in Mobile, Alabama.
