Ripoff

I was contacted on my cell phone by a company calling themselves RPS in early February. I was told that I had won a $1000 online shopping spree and that all I had to do was pay the $4.95 shipping fee to receive it. I was also informed that I would receive a free trial to Fly Free Travel and Dialing USA, Inc. For 10 days and could cancel at no cost to me before the trial was over. They informed me that they would be sending the information with the phone numbers to these companies, but I did not receive the letters until after the 10 day trial was over.

I told the man I spoke with, whom I could barely understand, that I was not interested in the free trials. I have tried repeatedly to contact these companies and have yet to get throught to talk to anyone. My bank account was just charged (April 1) $139 to Fly Free Travel.

I contacted my bank and told them that I don't know this company and they did not have permission to take from my account. The bank told me to try to contact the company (they gave me the phone number 1-800-625-9305) and talk to this company first. The bank was able to put a stop on my account to deny this company any further access to my money. They also put a code on my account that will not allow any other companies to do an automated check withdrawal without having my password first.

Do NOT give anyone your bank information, no matter how much you want or could use whatever they are offering! You will not receive what you believe to have paid for and once they have your information, they continue to rip you off!

Why are they calling on my cell phone and how did they get my number anyway? That should have been the first sign!
