Inc. Hotel Voucher Certificates are fake. They ask for a $50 refundable room fee, then cash the check and run

I used a "gift" certificate given as a school fundraiser incentive for two free nights at a hotel. I filled out the form and sent in the requested check for $60, $10 extra for a child to stay two nights, as well. They cashed the check about one week after it was mailed in and they are now out of business.
