They really should have some handicapp access where those with disabilities can be out of the way and get a chance to watch the parades also

I decided to take my mom to Disneyland for the 50th anniversary, since she had been there the first year it opened. She sometimes needs to use a cane to get around especially when walking for extended periods. The day was great, most the employees were accommodating and polite; however, when it came turn for the parades, it was pure hell.

The christmas parade she was able to sit on the ground and get up with my assistance but the firework spectacular with the snow was horrible. First we ended in this line where everyone was being ushered around like cows (I understand the large crowds and the need to keep the people moving to stop the traffic) but my mom was being pushed and shoved the whole way around the crowds. Then we asked if there was anywhere she could just sit, the ushers kept telling her to move and never told her where she could sit, we didnt even care about seeing the fireworks by that time. We just wanted to get out of the way so my mom could sit down.

Finally we found an area by the stores away from all the people. We headed in that direction and an employee literally pushed me causing me to bang into my mom and almost trip. We ignored it and stood out of the way. That same employee came up to us and told us to keep moving. When we were out of the way!!! I told him that my mom can not walk that far and needs to sit, he gave us an attitude and walked away, in 10 minutes he was back. He once again told us to keep moving. We finally found some seats far out of the way of the firework spectacular.

My complaint is during the parades and the firework spectacular - they really should have some handicapp access where those with disabilities can be out of the way and get a chance to watch the parades also. I understand how crowds especially at amusement parks get, But pushing someone no matter who is horrible guest service!!!
