Ripoff 798 euro's with Credit Card Fraud!

Traveling & Tourism

I got a message which said I was a winner.
I called the nr. (from Holland!) and talked to Linda.
She said congratulations etc. I won a trip, 1300 travel cash, and as a bonus a trip to the Bahama's. She asked for my information like adress and Visa (or Master Card or American Express nr.) nr. I thought it would be for the 1300 euro's.
After a while I gave the information.
She said then, the next conversation would be recorded for me to kwon it was all safe. Again I gave the information, but while talking to them I was called by my mother, it was her Visa Card, they reserved 798 euro's from her account, even before I agreed. I asked them if this was true, but they denied.
A confirmation package would be sent to me within 10 days.
Afterwards I called again to cancel the trip, this would be the only way for Visa to cancel the transfer that had already been reserved.
They said I couldn't cancel the trip because I never said I didn't agree with anything.
I have been terribly misled by a company using maybe a real travel-agency (starr-gateways) to convince people that they are real, but then take money from your account. It seems they change phone numbers once in a while (so I read on the internet, report from another victim).
Can you do anything to stop them?
