Vacation World, Prisma Inc, Promotora Ceve, Plaza Holiday Club ripoff. Wach out. They will ask you to pay your membership in full with promises they never accomplish

In the summer of while we were vacationing in Acapulco, we were sold a time share vacation week at El Presidente Hotel by Vacation World (Vacaciones Mundiales) a Mexican company with offices in San Antonio TX under the name of (among a lot of others) Prisma Resort Services. We were told that we were buying 6000 points—and not weeks—of vacation, and that these points had no yearly expiration, and that only when we use these points we where going to pay the yearly maintainance fees. We believed this to be true and put a 20% down payment.

One week after we returned to USA we received a call from this company offering us a week in Cancun, Mex and 10% discount of the membership if we pay in full. So we did, but when we try to take our promissed week in Cancun, we fould out that they had never booked us in any place, even when we got a Fax confirming us that such week had already been booked.

We exhausted every attempt possible to get in touch with the offices in San Antonio with no avail.
We sent them a Fax demanding them to cancel our membership and to give us our money back.
They never responded back and since then we have never been able to get in touch by phone, even though we have left messages to call us back.

To make matters worse, now they are demanding us—through a collecting agency—to pay them for the maintainance fees and late and collecting fees charges. Even when in the sales presentation they said that only when we use the poins we will pay maintainance fees. So far we have paid about $8,000.00 of membership and have not been able to use any vacation points.

What a ripoff!!!
