Airline rewards ripoff program - Aeroplan is useless

Air Canada's travel rewards program is a scam. They convince you to fly with them, get the Aeroplan Visa etc... And then when you want to book your air travel rewards there are no seats available. I have over 180,000 points but I can not fly anywhere! I have tried booking over 8 months in advance and still there are no seats available.
Supposedly they reserve 5% of the seats for reward travel but yet you still can not get anything!
My advice is not to fly Air Canada period. They will be bankrupt soon anyway and your points will be completely worthless at that point.
