Refund Ripoff Was promissed a refund by Pam

I signed up for this offer on Friday 4/22/05. Was a bit apprehensive but the feaver of a cheap but luxury vacation took hold. I feel such a fool AND I sold the idea to a friend who was going with me, double fool! THEN I did the research. OK, I am a fool but hopefully one who is now educated. I found your website, and many others. All say just about the same thing. Some positive remarks are found but not many. I decided to cut my losses and cancel. Called the company many times and as soon as "cancel" was mentioned I was put on hold. You guessed it, nobody ever picked up again. Eventually I started with "do not put me on hold, please transfer me to a supervisor, I am recording this call, and if I get cut off again the next call I make is to my attorney". It worked!!! I spoke with Pam who insisted on offering me free upgrades and lots of other free things. She implied I was a fool to believe all I read on the web but I can live with that, she has to make a living too, and I guess she will not be there much longer anyway if the other employee messages are anything to go by. I listened to all she said, and must say was tempted, maybe you all are wrong and it would be a fab vacation. However, brain kicked in and I did insist on cancelling. I was given a cancellation reference and will follow up with my credit card to make sure it does appear in this billing cycle. If it does not I will dispute the charge with VISA and provide all the details of what happened today to them. I believe I will not be out of pocket on this one.

Lesson 1: There is no such thing as a free lunch or a cheap lunch in a luxury resort
Lesson 2: Always pay with a credit card, if you do not have one DO NOT DO THIS - EVER!!!
Lesson 3: Note down names and times of any conversations and indicate you are recording them also, even if you do not.
Lesson 4: Do research first, pay later. A good product will still be offered tomorrow as the seller is not afraid you will not come back.
