I made a car rental reservation with AARP on 8/27, and was charged $1973.16 on my credit card. When I got to Logan Airport's car rental counter, they were confused by the AARP reservation and eventually found it with my itinerary 73530229417480 and confirmation number 2131573725 from my AARP travel confirmation email. The clerk mentioned that AARP uses a third party (Priceline) which we knew nothing about. On my recent credit card, I had a charge of $1379.19 from Rntl Insure with a phone number for Priceline. I called and they couldn't find anything for any of the numbers I had, my name, phone number or email, and therefore can't refund me if they can't find anything to refund. I called Enterprise and went through the same thing. They only saw a credit for gas on my account and cannot find anything to refund. AARP set up this reservation for me and I have been double charged by a "company" that can't find any information on the reservation. AARP Travel needs to correct this and get me my refund, OR refund me the $1973. 16 they initially charged me before their third party Priceline then charged me again. Someone needs to make this right. We relied on your service using our benefits as members for the discounted rate and are now being double charged unfairly and the originating reserving service needs to fix this. Please advise me asap on this horrid matter.
