Groupon have taken my money! Will not refund expired credit note.!

I had £19.00 credit with groupon. I didn't realise it had an expiry date. When finally finding something I wanted to buy from this company I found my credit expired! As a gesture of goodwill inthoughtbtheyvwould honour it, after all its money I paid! However they sent me a we can't reinstate letter - can we help with anything else?!!
I am disgusted -be very aware of this company!!!
