Unsolicited phone calls

I've had an automobile with americredit for three years, Our spouse is within the military and he'll be implementing in September he's been on unemployment to get a year because he returned from standard instruction. We got way behind on our funds and finally recognized we can not purchase it. I informed americredit about 14 days before I really couldnot purchase it plus they could come and obtain it. Plus they call me about 20 times each day from various figures. I choose to not reply the telephone since I previously informed them my motives of not spending anymore since we can not afford it. Well today they've experienced the telephone guide and therefore are contacting my neighbors about my statement. The neighbors have already been informed these were having to get ahold people since my children have already been ill. Or my phone was diconnected. I actually donot actually understand my neighbors telephone number. Is that this not illegal to get hold of neighbors who're not shown as refrences to speak about my statement I owe them? I owe a lot of expenses which may be the very first time I've ever endured a statement collector start calling neighbors outlined within the phonebook. I'm considering sueing them if this really is feasible somebody please allow me to understand what you believe I ought to do, does not this breach hippa regulations?
