Tried to Steal My Money!

The account arrangement I closed with LA Fitness says the following:

"You (the member) have eight business days to stop this agreement. Should you therefore stop, any funds made is likely to be returned and any proof of indebtedness performed by you'll be ended."

Afterwards it states

"to work, your cancellation should be postmarked by night, or hand-delivered by midnight on 7/03/12"

Following these directions, I delivered my notice of cancellation via USPS Certified Email on 7/3, hence achieving the contract for that termination. Afterwards, on 7/9, I received a notice of membership cancellation from LA Fitness via email. Nevertheless the text of the e-mail worried me, since, unlike the agreement, the e-mail mentioned the account might end on 8/21. Accepting my cash could be returned entirely, the account must have terminated effective immediately.

In light of the, I named an LA Exercise consultant that same-day. She assured me that, easily posted my notice of termination promptly, I'd undoubtedly get a return. I advised her that I'd not obtained the reimbursement, and requested after I might obtain it. She explained that she could not say.

Following A month of waiting, I submitted a using the Better Business Institution with my charge card business. The charge card business briefly returned my cash, but later corrected the reimbursement as a result of demand from LA Exercise! So then I'd to publish paperwork showing that I submitted the termination promptly. Lastly after 8 weeks of waiting, I received my reimbursement.

That Is obviously uncommon, and violates the conditions of the account contract. LA Fitness pushed me to document many of these grievances before ultimately refunding the cash they owed me. Had I not submitted many of these grievances, I'm particular they'd have stored the cash, despite the fact that I submitted the termination methods TOWARDS THE NOTICE.
